Why am I taking a Track My Progress test?
This test helps your teacher understand how to help everyone in your class learn what they need to make progress in school. You and your classmates have things that your are good at and things that you need help with. Track My Progress lets your teacher know what these things are so that all students in your class get the help and challenge they need. So don't worry about the test. Do your best and if there is a test question that is hard or confusing your teacher will know that is something you need help with.
Why do I see different test questions than my classmates?
For each student their are things that the student knows well and things that the student knows less well. The Track My Progress test is designed to find out what your individual strengths and weaknesses are. Your test questions may be different than your classmates because each of you has your own individual strengths and weaknesses. The test changes for you as it learns about your strengths and weaknesses.
How long does each test take?
Each Track My Progress test takes about twenty-five minutes. The time that it takes to finish a test will be different for each student. Some students may finish in ten or fifteen minutes. Other students may need thirty or thirty-five minutes to complete a test.

How many questions are in each test?
The math test has about 25 test questions. The reading test has about 20 test questions.
How do I sign in to take a test?
Direct your computer's web browser to the Track My Progress home page you click Sign In at the top right corner of the page. Or you can click this link and bookmark it with your web browser or save a shortcut to your desktop. If you are testing on an iPad, launch the Track My Progress iPad app and then sign in.
What should I do if I don't know the answer to a test question?
First, don't worry about it. It is no big deal. Some of these test questions are going to be too easy and some will be too hard. That is going to be true for all students. If you do not know the answer to a question you can skip it. To skip a test question click the green 'next' button. A window will pop up that asks you if you want to skip the test question or go back and try to answer it. Just click 'skip' and you will move on to the next test question.
Can I go back to a previous question?
No, once you click next you can not go back to a previous question.
Can I leave my test and come back to finish it at another time?
Yes, you can stop your test at anytime by pressing the X button at the top right of the screen (web browser) or the home button ( iPad). A pop up window will ask you if you are sure you want to leave the test. Click the exit button and your test will close. We will save your progress so you do not have to start again. You can sign in at a later time to finish your test.
Can I take my math and reading tests on the same day?
No, you need to take your math and reading tests on separate days. If you try to sign in again after completing your math test you will see a message that says your next test will be available tomorrow.
Do you provide a practice test?
We don't offer a practice test because in a sense Track My Progress is a practice test for end of year testing. Here is a short video to help you get oriented with the Track My Progress test.
Can I take Track My Progress in my native language?
Track My Progress is only available in English.
