The percentiles range from 1-99 and can give a teacher, administrator, or anyone involved in the student’s education, an idea of how well the student is learning. For example, if a student is ranked in the 70th percentile, they would be considered to be above average. However, if a student is ranked in the 20th percentile, then they are below average. Percentile is not a measure of how many questions the student answered correctly (percent correct). If a student is in the 30th percentile it means they did better than 29% of the students who took the test during the same month in the norming period.
