How do I set the cut scores for the proficiency categories?
Student test scores are categorized by one of four proficiency categories. Each category is indicated by a color; red, yellow, blue or green.
The performance categories are determined by cut scores which can be set for the school or district from a School Administrator or District Administrator account. The color of each score is based on the percentile of the score. For example, based on the default settings, if a student scores in red it means that the score is below the 26th percentile. If a student score is in green it means the score is above the 60th percentile. The default cut scores for the performance categories can be customized for your school or district.
