How do I import my staff roster?
A School Administrator or a District Administrator can import staff names into Track My Progress. Follow these steps to import your staff roster.
Create your import spreadsheet.
Create a spreadsheet with staff first name, last name, staff email, class name if applicable and type of access. Please refer to this What are the different types of administrative user accounts? about the types of user accounts. For information on importing staff into multiple classes please refer to this How do I assign teachers to more than one class during the import process? Save your spreadsheet as csv, XLS, XLSX format.
Click your name and then click School.
Click Browse to locate your import file.
choose the spreadsheet to import.
Click File Contains Headers if your spreadsheet has a header row.
Match the each title with each column.
The title is the information that Track My Progress requires to import accounts. The column is the data from the columns on your uploaded spreadsheet. If the titles and columns do not match, use the drop down menus to select the appropriate title.
Errors will appear in red and warnings will appear in yellow. Errors need to be corrected before the spreadsheet can be imported. Please re-import the spreadsheet after errors have been corrected. Click import to complete the import.
Send an activation email to each staff member.
Click on the box next to the new staff account and choose Send Activation Email. This will send an email to the staff member with a link to create the password for their account.
