A standardized way to administer Track My Progress assessments on iPads.

Updated over 10 months ago

Teachers may read this script to their students (adapting it as necessary) before beginning a Track My Progress assessment on iPads.

Today, we're using an app called Track My Progress. This app helps me see what you've learned and what's next in your learning journey. This is not a graded activity. Your best effort is very helpful to me because it guides our learning moving forward.

Preparation:

  • Let's start by closing all apps on your iPad. Press the home button and swipe up to close each app.

  • You will need a pencil, scratch paper, and headphones or earbuds.

  • Plug in your earbuds or headphones and place them on the table. Adjust your iPad's volume now.

  • You may use your scratch paper and pencil during the activity.

Accessing the Program:

  • Locate and tap the Track My Progress app icon.

  • Type in the name of our school and select it from the pop-up list.

  • Type your username.

  • Type your password.

Navigating the Activity:

  • Advance the tutorial using the Play button. Make sure your sound works.

  • You'll receive audio instructions for questions.

  • Touch the play button to hear instructions and the speaker button to hear the audio.

  • Work carefully and at your own pace.

  • If you have a question, raise your hand.

Wrapping up:

  • Once you finish, you can draw or read quietly until everyone is finished.
