How do I delete a student assessment?

Follow these steps to delete a student's screener assessment if they need to take it again.

Updated over a week ago

School and District Administrators can delete one screener assessment for a student during each test window so that the student can retake the screener assessment. You may want to do this if the assessment had a technical problem or the student did not feel well and you would like to reset the test for them.

Screener assessments are computer adaptive tests that draw on an item bank of over 5,000 assessment items. When a screener assessment is deleted, the student will see new assessment questions when the screener is retaken. The diagnostic tests are a scripted sequence of 40 assessment items. These assessments can be deleted and the student will see the same test questions if the diagnostic is retaken during the same test window.

Follow these steps to delete a specific test for a student in the current test window. The new test results will be marked with "*Retest" for that student. You should not delete a test only because a student did not do as well as expected or did better than expected. This is not a valid use of the delete test feature. It is only possible to delete a test from the current test window. You can delete a test that a student has not completed so they can start over.

Click Administration

Locate the student

You can use the grade and class drop-down menu to filter student names, or you can type in the student's name in the search students box.

Access the student account

Click the button with three dots at the far right of the student's name. Click the option for the test you would like to delete.

Confirm the deletion

Click Delete in the confirmation dialog to confirm.
