If a student takes one assessment and then signs in again on the same day, she will be greeted with a message that indicates her next assessment will be available the following day. This is the default daily testing setting that limits students to one test per day.
If you would like to override the default setting for a student and allow both the Math Screener and the ELA Screener to be taken on the same day, please follow the steps in this article:
Originally, we allowed students to take both ELA and Math tests on the same day. We learned that there was a systematic bias for the second test (whether it was ELA taken second or Math taken second) to have a lower average score. In other words, schools that administered the ELA assessment immediately after the Math assessment had systematically lower ELA scores, and schools that administered the Math assessment immediately after the ELA assessment had lower Math scores systematically. For that reason, we found it best, as a general rule, not to allow students to take two assessments on the same day, as the second assessment appears to be adversely affected by fatigue and loss of engagement.
